AUBURN ... Carole J. (Grenier) Brodeur, 80, died Wednesday, November 8, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Albert C. Brodeur; three daughters, Paula Dufour, and her husband, Kenneth, of Lowell, Vt, Norma Castonguay, of Grafton, and Diane  Morin, of Whitinsville; five grandchildren, Brian, who lived with her for several years, Lauren, Jason, Justin and Jeremy; a brother, Charles Grenier, of Deland Fl; and a sister, Elizabeth Archambault, and her husband, Robert, of Wakefield, RI. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Ariel, in 1990.

Mrs. Brodeur was born in North Brookfield, October 18, 1937, a daughter of Thomas and Irene (Parker) Grenier. She grew up in East Brookfield and Southbridge, and she attended Southbridge schools. She lived in Whitinsville over 30 years, and Douglas for 10 years before moving to Auburn 11 years ago.

Mrs. Brodeur was a nurses aide at the Keith Hill  Nursing Home in Grafton for many years prior to retirement.

She was a 50 year member of the Village Congregational Church in Whitinsville, and for many years, she was an active "knitter for newborns". She enjoyed trips to area casinos with her husband and friends.

Mrs, Brodeur's Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Monday, November 13, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville, preceded by a Calling Hour from 10-11am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Village Congregational Church, Church Street, Whitinsville.
