WHITINSVILLE ... Charles "Chuck" Gigarjian, 67, died Saturday, August 19, in the Saint Camillus Health Center, following a lengthy illness. He is survived by two brothers, Robert Gigarjian, of Whitinsville, and Bruce Gigarjian, of Sherborn; two nieces, Anoush, and Aznive Gigarjian; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Mr. Gigarjian was born in Whitinsville, May 2, 1950, a son of George and Nancy (Arakelian) Gigarjian, and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Northbridge High School and Worcester State College. He was a special education teacher in several area communities, and also worked at Wyman Gordon and the Whitin Machine Works.

He was an active member of Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church in Whitinsville, where he served many years as a member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He was a high school basketball referee for more than 25 years, and he enjoyed frequent trips to the racetrack and casino.

Chuck's Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Wednesday, August 23, in the Armenian Apostolic Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling Hours will be 6-8pm, Tuesday, August 22, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville.
