Jack was born August 18, 1946 in Spring Hill, Nova Scotia, a son of Gerald and Ruann (Adams) Lowther.  At the age of 16, he came to the United States with his aunt and uncle.  He graduated from Framingham South High School, and then enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving during the Viet Nam era.  After the service, Jack began working for Bose Corporation in Framingham, where he remained until retiring in 2013.  He had lived in Whitinsville for the past 23 years.
