I am so sad that Jon died and that he endured such a battle for so long. He grew up in his teenage years with my brother and spent countless hours at our house. I remember how energetic he was...so fun loving, so expressive, so full of life. It’s hard to imagine such a vibrant person like Jon being gone. My heart goes out to all that loved him.

To family and friends of Jon, I am so sorry for your loss. Soon we will not have to experience the pain that results from losing someone we love. Revelation 21:4 gives us the loving assurance that death and pain will be done away with forever. Very soon the causes that lead one to addiction will be a thing of the past. Although your time with Jon was cut short, please take comfort from knowing that he will be restored with perfect health and in perfect conditions. (John 5:28, 29)

My heart goes out to all who knew and loved Jon. Although we hadnt spoken in years, there was a time he felt closer than a brother to me. Guitars and fishing were all we ever talked (argued) about. We grew apart but i will never forget some of the best times in my life spent with him. There are no words to express this loss. We love and will miss you always.

I am so sorry to hear of Jon's passing. I remember him from Holliston and he was so nice and easy going. I hope you find comfort in the memories of him and in knowing that he is in a better place. Rest Easy, Jonathan.

As an employee at a treatment center in Massachusetts, I have met so many who have fallen to the disease of addiction. Sadly, it has become a weekly occurrence to hear of a former client who has passed. I remember Jon very well and he was a true presence at our facility and was well known and loved by staff. He had a Mohawk when we met and shared similar senses of humor. But thing I remember most about him, besides his fishing, was the love he had for his dog. I share the same connection with my pet cat and when she was sick and having surgery, Jon was someone who didn't think my sadness was ridiculous but felt total compassion and offered his support. To his family who loved him I can only say thank you for letting us share in the joy of knowing him and thank you for your honesty in publicly acknowledging what took his life. Only when the shame around addiction ends will we stand a fighting chance against it. Thank you for your fight and thank you Jon for yours.
