Oxford--Kendall C. Postma, 70, died Sunday, February 19, in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.  He leaves his wife of 10 years, Trish (Mercure) Postma. He leaves also a son, Jonathan Postma, of WV, two daughters, Tracey, and her husband James MacNeill, and Julie Postma, all of Douglas;  step-son Nicholas Giannino, of Belmont, two step-daughters,  Kerri, and her husband Adam Consigli, of Grafton, and Lynn Giannino, of Watertown; 6 grandchildren and a sister, Elizabeth Hutchings, of Whitinsville.  He was predeceased by his sister Helene Caplette.

Kendall was born August 24, 1946 in Worcester, a son of Frederick Postma and Marjorie (Visser) Shaw.  He grew up in Whitinsville and attended the Northbridge Schools.  He was a proud veteran of the Army, serving as a cook while stationed in Vietnam and Germany.  He retired in 2012 from Darmann Abrasive Products in Clinton, and worked previously at Smith Valve. 

A quiet man, Kendall liked to read, was known as a great cook and good cribbage player, and avid NASCAR fan.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Memorial Calling Hours are Thursday, February 23, 12-2PM at the First Congregational Church, 3 Common St., Douglas.
