Peter B. Harper
April 25, 1940 ~ August 1, 2016 (age 76) 76 Years OldWHITINSVILLE ... Peter B. Harper, 76, died at home, Monday, August 1, following a hard fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy (Johnson) Harper; two sons, Stephen Harper, and his wife, Jean, of Worcester, and Peter Harper, Jr., and his wife, Carolee, of Douglas; a daughter, Cheryl Senosk, and her husband, Greg, of Whitinsville; eight grandchildren, Kaley, Lauren, Ethan, Jillian, and Victoria Harper, and Ashley, Emma, and Avery Senosk; three brothers, Owen Harper, of Lunenburg, Bradford Harper, and his wife, Lucille, of Whitinsville, and Carl Harper, and his wife, Nancy, of Warren, RI; a sister, Elaine Miller, of Whitinsville; his brother-in-law, Ray Weinmann, in Washington, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Weinmann.
Mr. Harper was born in Milford, April 25, 1940, a son of Theodore and Jennie (Wesgan) Harper. He was a graduate of Northbridge High School and Worcester Technical Institute. He served in the United States Navy, and worked as a master plumber for over 50 years. He recently retired as the plumbing inspector for the towns of Uxbridge and Millville, and the assistant plumbing inspector in Northbridge and Douglas.
He was a member of St. Denis Church in Douglas, the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, and the Model A Club. He wa s a diehard Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoyed arguing with his son about Tom Brady. He loved Polish food and music, Polka dancing, and trips to the Olive Garden.
Peter's family would like to offer a special thank you for the loving and compassionate care he received to Dr. Ciaran J. McNamee, Christopher LeSiege, PA-C, Dr. Mona Kaddis, and Barbara and Ann from Salmon Hospice.
Mr. Harper's Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father William Cormier, at 10 AM, Saturday, August 6, in St. Denis Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Uxbridge. Calling Hours will be 5-7 PM, Friday, August 5, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill St., Whitinsville.
