Robert A. Noel

Northbridge--Robert A. Noel, age 84, died Friday July 1 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home after a period of declining health. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Shirley (Rajotte) Noel, a son Robert M. Noel and his wife Judith, of Grafton, a daughter Mary-Jean Hawkesworth, of Gardner, and grandsons Noel and Patrick Hawkesworth.

Mr. Noel was born July 23, 1931, the only child of Albert and Margaret (Nowlan) Noel.  He lived his entire life in Northbridge.  He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War.  After his service in the Army, he worked for more than 30 years for the Ford Motor Company in Natick.  

He was a life-long member of St. Peter's Church,  the Rockdale Rod and Gun Club, and a 50 year member of the American Legion Oliver Ashton Post.  He was a great fisherman who enjoyed fishing every weekend.  

Calling hours are Thursday, July 7, from 9-11 AM, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville.  Mr. Noel's Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.  Due to allergies, please omit flowers.  Memorial donations may be made to either the St. Peter's Building Fund, 39 Church Ave., Northbridge, MA 01534 or to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Rd., Worcester, MA 01602.
