Sandra L. (Roundy) Clarke

Whitinsville—Sandra L. (Roundy) Clarke, 76, died unexpectedly, March 22, in the UMASS Medical Center.  She was predeceased by her husband, Warner Clarke, in 2015.  She leaves a son, Brian A. Clarke, and his wife Rachel, of Millbury and daughter Amy E. Daigle, of Millville; 3 grandchildren, John and Jacob Clarke and Jessica Daigle; a great grand-daughter, Kylie and great grandson TJ.  

Sandy was born in Salem,  daughter of Warren and Joyce (Sillars) Roundy.  She graduated from Northbridge High School in 1958.  She worked for Hopedale Dialysis, the former Northbridge Nursing Home, Saint Camillus and the Department of Public Welfare. She most recently worked at Family Continuity Practice in Whitinsville, retiring  in 2004 after 15 years.  She was active in the Valley Aires Drum Corp, serving on the Board of Directors and as the Director of the Alumni Corps.  She was a former Girl Scout leader and member of the BV Horseshoe League. She was an active member of the Northbridge Senior Center and the FINE Elders’ Group.  She loved horses and was a Reiki Master, level III.

Calling hours at the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill St., Whitinsville, will be Tuesday, March 28, from 4-7pm.  A memorial service will be held in the funeral home beginning at 7pm.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation either the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Ave., Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202 or to the ASPCA,  PO Box 96929, Washington, DC, 20090-6929.
