Whitinsville ... Brenda R. (Stanley) Defoe, 60, formerly of Whitinsville, died Tuesday, April 10, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, following an illness. She is survived by three brothers, Alden R. Stanley, Jr., of Spencer, Dana R. Stanley, and Steven O. Stanley, of Whitinsville; three sisters, Margaret Pleau, of Burrillville, RI, Charlene Cormier, of Milford, and Lorelei Bergeron, of Whitinsville, and many nieces and nephews.

Ms. Defoe was born in Whitinsville, December 31, 1951, a daughter of the late Alden R. and Mary (Streeter) Stanley. She grew up in Whitinsville and attended Northbridge schools. She also resided at the Crescent Manor Rest Home, in Grafton, and at Autumn Village, in Worcester.

Before becoming disabled, she worked at the former Prest Wheel Co., in Grafton, Bernat Mill, in Uxbridge, and Toke Co., in Grafton.

She enjoyed shopping, doing crafts, and spending time doting on her many nieces and nephews.

Ted and I extend our heartfelt condolences in the passing of Brenda.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her and remembered for her kind heart and loving spirit.

Hold tight the memories and know that one day you'll see her again in the sweet bye 'n bye.
