Manchaug ... John L. Brennan, 70, died Monday, October 8, in Blair House, Worcester, following a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Myra Beth (McNary) Brennan; three sons, John T. Brennan, of Tampa, FL, Sean J. Brennan, of Manchaug, and James P. Brennan, of Asheville, NC; a daughter, Erin Chabot, of Whitinsville; three sisters, Nancy Keve, and Mary Brennan, in New Jersey, and Margaret Woster, in Texas; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Brennan was born in Cranford, New Jersey, March 10, 1942, the son of John and Margaret (Dewald) Brennan, Sr. He was a graduate of Cranford High School and Villanova University, and he did post-graduate work at Rutgers University. He moved to Princeton. MA, in 1972, and to Whitinsville in 1986, before moving to Manchaug in 1997.

He was an industrial chemical sales representative for Dubois Chemical Company, retiring in 1995. Previously, he was an owner of radio station WKSS in Hartford.

Mr. Brennan attended the New England Chapel in Franklin, and he was a Charter Member and Past President of both the Princeton and Northbridge Lions Clubs. He also was a mentor in Junior Achievement.

Funeral services will be private, at a later date. There are no Calling Hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA, 02472. The Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
