Isabel (Ingalls) Martin

Isabel (Ingalls) Martin, age 97, died Friday, April 12, 2024 at Oakdale Rehabilitaion and Skilled Nursing Center, where she had resided for the last 5 years.

She leaves a son, John Robert "Bob" Martin, of Sonoma, CA, and a daughter, Linda Martin and her husband Craig Warneke, of Sutton; a brother Gordon Ingalls; a niece Jane Ingalls and nephew Gordon Ingalls, Jr.  

The daughter of Delbert and Blanche (Levison) Ingalls, Isabel was born May 31, 1926, in Goshen, New York.  After high school she began working for the former Ma Bell as a telephone operator and retired in 1984 as a training supervisor.  Although Isabel had lived in the area for only the last 10 years, she made many friends while living at Edy Pond, Tatnuck Park Assisted Living and most recently Oakdale, in West Boylston.  Her friendship circle grew to include her daughter's friends as well.  Isabel was a people person and thoroughly enjoyed socializing and organizing gatherings with all of her friends.  In her younger years she was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling.

At this time, there aren't any scheduled services.  She will be buried at the family's convenience in Wallkill Cemetery in Wallkill, New York.
