WHITINSVILLE ...Evelyn D. (Feddema) Oosterman, 90,died Wednesday, May 16, in the Saint Camillus Health Center. Her first husband, Thomas Oosterman, died in 1969, and her second husband, John Lodder, died in 1993 She is survived by two sons, Henry Oosterman, in Florida, and Jeffrey Oosterman, and his wife Heather, of Southbridge; two daughters, Donna Meagher, and her husband, John, of Northbridge, and Arlene Sullivan, and her husband, Michael, of Southbridge; 11 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Harold Feddema, a sister, Marion Oosterman, and a grandson, Vincent R. Sullivan.
Mrs. Oosterman was born in Northbridge, April 5, 1928, a daughter of Jacob and Dora (Hilverda) Feddema. A lifelong resident, she graduated from Northbridge High School In 1945, and from Becker Junior College. She worked at the former Whitin Machine Works, and at Phillip's Market in Whitinsville.
An active, lifelong member of the Pleasant Street Christian Reformed Church, she taught Sunday School, and she belonged to the Mothers' Club of the Whitinsville Christian School,
Mrs. Oosterman's Funeral Service will be held at 10am, Saturday, May 19, in the Pleasant Street Church, preceded by a Calling Hour in the church from 9-10am. Burial will follow in Riverdale Cemetery.
