SUTTON … Felicia J. (Jonis) Naughton, 92, died at home, Sunday, June 11, surrounded by her loving family, after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by two sons, Richard J. Naughton, and Barry Naughton, and two brothers. She is survived by five sons, Donald A. Naughton, of San Diego, CA, Russell P. Naughton, and his wife, Nikko, of Las Vegas, NV, James P.  Naughton, of Worcester, Kevin M. Naughton, and his wife, Donna, of Jacksonville, NC, and Thomas J. Naughton, and his wife, Carrie Ann, of Whitinsville; two daughters, Nancy M. Gilmour, and her fiancé, Michael Welch, of Dudley, and Kathy M. Temple, and her husband, Douglas, of Brimfield; 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Naughton was born in Worcester, October 16, 1924, the daughter of Vincent and Julia (Minkavich) Jonis. She grew up in Worcester, attended Worcester schools, and had lived in Sutton since 1956.

She was a receptionist at Catholic Charities for many years prior to retiring, and she previously worked at the Paul Revere Life Insurance Company, and as a cook in the Sutton Schools cafeteria.

A Gold Star Mother, Mrs. Naughton was a member of Saint Patrick’s Church in Whitinsville, the bereavement committee and Compassionate Friends at the church. She belonged to the Sutton Senior Center, and was known by all for her compassion, wit, and her dedication to her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Naughton’s Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am, Friday, June 16, in Saint Patrick’s Church, Cross Street, Whitinsville. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling Hours will be 5-8 pm, Thursday, June 15, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
