WHITINSVILLE … Kathleen (Duggan) Charbonneau, 74, died Thursday, October 24, in Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston. Her husband, Roy Charbonneau, died in 2002. She is survived by a son, Jeffrey F. Sprott, Of Sutton; a daughter, Pamela Legere, of Whitinsville; three grandsons, Joshua Sprott, Michael Legere, and Joseph Legere; and a nephew, Corey Hastings. She was predeceased by her sister, Ann Marie Duggan-Hastings.
Kathy was born in Worcester, February 6, 1945, a daughter of Edward and Evelyn (O'Neill) Duggan. She grew up in Whitinsville, and lived in Grafton 30 years, returning to Whitinsville in 2005. She was a 1962 graduate of Northbridge High School, Leo's Beauty Institute, and Quinsigamond Community College. Kathy was a nurse extender, and worked in the UMass Memorial Cardiac ICU, retiring in 1996.
She was volunteer at the Northbridge Senior Center, and a member of the Class of '62 Golden Girls, with her special friends, Margie Ebbeling Smith and Elaine Jones Mahoney.
Kathy's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am, Wednesday, October 30, in Saint Patrick's Church, Cross Street, Whitinsville. Calling Hours will be 5-7 pm, Tuesday, October 29, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville. Following cremation, interment in Saint Patrick's Cemetery will be private.
