Paul R. Ballard

NORTHBRIDGE ... Paul R. Ballard, 83, died Friday, August 11, in the Worcester Rehab & Health Care Center. He is survived by his wife, Cecile (Aucoin)  Ballard; a son, Carl Ballard, of Dunedin, FL; a daughter, Pauline Naples, of Worcester; a granddaughter, and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Leo Ballard.

Mr. Ballard was born in Worcester, July 12, 1934, a son of Homer and Alice (Tessier) Ballard. He grew up in Northbridge, and graduated from Northbridge High School in 1952. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1953, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1976.

He was a Field Service Manager at King Instruments in Westborough, and was co-owner of the Brown Sheet Metal Company in  Northbridge, prior to retiring in 1999.

Mr. Ballard was formerly a member of Saint Peter's Church in Northbridge. He belonged to the VFW, and he enjoyed flying his own plane for many years.
