Peter A. Janton

WHITINSVILLE ... Peter A. Janton, 57, died Friday, December 16, after being stricken ill. He is survived by his wife, Charlene M. (Kell) Janton; a son, Peter A. Janton, Jr., a step-son, Jonathan Kell, all of Whitinsville; a step-daughter, Kiley Strader, and her husband,Robert, of Raleigh, NC; two  brothers, Walter S. Janton, Jr., and James W. Janton, and his wife, Candi, of Whitinsville; a sister, Nancy Grieb, and her husband, Thomas, of Portsmouth, RI; two grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

 Mr. Janton was born in Worcester, April 9, 1959, a son of the late Walter and Winifred (Johnson) Janton. He was a lifelong resident of Whitinsville. He graduated from Northbridge High School in 1977, and he attended Norwich University.

He was a lead shipper at Riverdale Mills in Northbridge, where he worked for 18 years.

Mr. Janton was a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed candlepin bowling, NASCAR, the NFL, especially the New York Giants, and he was a New York Yankees fan.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM, Friday, December 23, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Douglas. Calling Hours will be 4-7 PM, Thursday, December 22, in the Carr Funeral Home.
