Rolande M. (Plante) Rej

MILLBURY … Rolande M. (Plante) Rej, 96, formerly of Northbridge and Grafton, died Tuesday, October 8, in CareOne at Millbury. Her husband, Vinent Rej, died in 1969. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Rosenblad and her husband, Gary, and Jo-Ann Crothers, of Whitinsville; seven grandchildren, and several great, great great, and great great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Judith Chagnon, a grandson, Vincent Sullivan, a brother, Norbert Plante, and sisters, Lillian Fink and Bertha Couture.

Mrs. Rej was born in Suncook, New Hampshire, February 7, 1923, a daughter of Joseph and Anaise (Noel) Plante. She grew up in South Grafton, and graduated from Grafton High School in 1941. She lived in Northbridge, Uxbridge, and South Grafton before moving to Millbury three years ago. A hairdresser, she owned and operated Rolande's Beauty Salon in South Grafton and Northbridge for many years, retiring in 1982.

Rolande was a member of Saint James Church in South Grafton, the American Legion Auxiliary in Northbridge, The Green Acres Associatiion in South Grafton, and the Grafton Senior Center. Among her many interests, she enjoyed line dancing.

At her request, Rolande will be interred with her husband, Vincent, in a private service at Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Whitinsville. There are no Calling Hours.
