Wayne E. Bedard, 52, died Monday, July 22, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, following a struggle with addiction and health issues. He is survived by his parents, Cynthia "Nina" (Sprott) Bedard, of Northbridge, and Edward F. Bedard, Jr., of Uxbridge; a sister, Michelle A. Lee, of Uxbridge; three children, Christian Bedard, of Northbridge, Nicholas Grondin, of Whitinsville, and Kimberly Rock, of Millbury; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Wayne was born in Worcester, April 17, 1967, and lived in Northbridge most of his life. He attended Northbridge schools and Blackstone Valley Tech. A truck mechanic, He worked at Tree Tech in Franklin, Norfolk Auto, and Hellen Fuels in Uxbridge.
Wayne's interests included carpentry, fishing, camping and restoring old cars. A kind and caring individual, he was always helping others, and would gladly "give you the shirt off his back".
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:30am , Friday, July 26 in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Providence Road, preceded by Calling Hours from 9-11am, in the Carr Funeral Home.
