William F. Lavallee
July 13, 1941 ~ August 12, 2017 (age 76) 76 Years OldWHITINSVILLE ... William F. Lavallee, 76, died Saturday, August 12, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Andrews) Cone Lavallee; four sons, Michael Lavallee, and his wife, Kathleen, of Whitinsville, Thomas Lavallee, and his wife, Jennifer, of Yarmouthport, John Lavallee, and his wife, Donna, of Northbridge, and James Lavallee, and his wife, Kelly, of Centerville; three stepsons, Philip Cone, and his wife, Lynn, of Northbridge, David Cone, and his wife, Cathi, of Uxbridge, and Douglas Cone, and his wife, Teri Parola, of Simi Valley, CA; six grandchildren, Samantha, Madison, Thomas, Danielle, Jason, and Kevin Lavallee; and six step-grandchildren, Kimberly, Alex, Jack, Alese,Kelly and Zachary Cone. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Irene (McCool) Lavallee, and a granddaughter, Nicole Lavallee.
Mr. Lavallee was born in Whitinsville, July 13, 1941, and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Saint Mary's Central Catholic High School, in Milford, and Saint Anselm's College.
With his wife, he owned and operated the Lincoln Hill Manor Rest Home, in Spencer, for many years. Previously, he was an Assistant Commissioner of Labor Relations at the Massachusetts Department of Welfare for 16 years, and he worked at the Fitchburg Gas and Electric Utility Corp for 11 years, in labor relations and personnel management.
Mr. Lavallee was a devoted member of Saint Patrick's Church in Whitinsville, where he was a Eucharistic Minister, was involved with the Baptism ministry, Couple to Couple, and volunteered at the Peace of Bread Kitchen. He was a former member of the Personnel Board in Northbridge, coached Little League, and belonged to the Whitinsville Golf Club. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Above all, he was a faithful and loving husband, devoted to his family and dedicated to his employees.
Mr. Lavallee's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am, Wednesday, August 16, in Saint Patrick's Church. Calliing Hours will be 6-8pm, Tuesday, August 15, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville.
