Agnes "Barbara" (Shamshoian) Chandler

Whitinsville-  Agnes "Barbara" (Shamshoian) Chandler died Monday, January 23, at Beaumont Northbridge after a period of declining health.  She was 83.  She leaves her husband Dick Chandler, of Plymouth; her two sons: Christopher Chandler, of Milford and Michael Chandler, of Franklin; her daughter Andrea Ducharme, of Whitinsville; her sister Susan Christianson, of Norristown, PA; three grandchildren: Sean Chandler, Brianna Ducharme and Theresa Beaudette; three great grandchildren; Layla Chandler and Jason and Lydia Davis; a son-in-law, Warren Ducharme, of Whitinsville and daughter-in-law Catrina Chandler, of Smithfield, RI.  She was predeceased by her brothers Peter, Michael and Charles and her sister Anna Richardson.
     "Barbara" was born in Northbridge, March 14, 1937, a daughter of John and Agani (Seropian) Shamshoian.  She graduated from Northbridge High School in 1955 and earned her LPN from Westboro State Hospital. She spent many years working at numerous hospitals throughout the Worcester County area.  She was a very accomplished woman.
     She was a devoted member of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Whitinsville.  She enjoyed volunteering and her involvement with the church immensely.

     A funeral service will be live streamed at 1PM, Friday, February 5.  Burial will be at a later date to be announced.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY, 10016.
