Amber Nicole Borowski, passed away on Christmas day surrounded by the love of her family at the UMASS Memorial Medical Center after an illness and complications from Rett Syndrome. Amber leaves a loving and devoted family who will miss her tremendously. She leaves her mother Carrie Dickerman, of Douglas; her sister Hailey Borowski-McMullen and her husband Ryan McMullen, of Warwick, RI; grandparents Brenda Dickerman and her husband Christopher Dowd, of Millville, and Edward and Norma Borowski, of Pascoag, RI; her great aunt Ann Marie Dickerman, of Millville; and her best friend Faith of Douglas, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Amber was predeceased by her father Michael E. Borowski in 2022, her Uncle Billy Dickerman in 2012, and her cousin Sean Dickerman in 2023.
Born on July 13, 2008, Amber was raised in Douglas and attended Douglas Schools. She loved music, classical music especially, as well as Disney songs. Watching "Little Einsteins" was a favorite pastime of hers as well. She loved to eat and was fond of having applesauce and ketchup with every meal. Her Care Bear collection numbered into the dozens, and she loved Christmas time and all the sparkling lights. Although Amber was non-verbal, her eyes spoke more than words ever could and her smile lit up the world.
A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 1-2PM, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 2PM. Burial will be held privately.
