Uxbridge-- Arnold Lee Oikle, 81, died Wednesday, June 18, 2025 surrounded by his family at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He leaves his devoted wife of 60 years, Carol Henderson Oikle, his beloved Buzzy and his four children:daughter Michele Burdick and her husband Jerry, of Whitinsville; daughter Carrie Ann Naughton and her husband Tom, of Sutton; son Philip Oikle and his wife Melissa of Sutton; and son Eric Oikle and his fiancé Theresa Alvino, of Framingham. Arnold was anamazing grandfather to his 12 grandchildren: Jerry Burdick, Jr., Bryan Burdick and his girlfriend Jenee Lachapelle, Sara Sokol and her husband Nick, Melissa Small and her husband Jeff, Kim Naughton, Britteny Naughton and her boyfriend AJ; Brie, Olivia and Jack Oikle, Gabby and Brody Oikle; and his 16 great grandchildren: Cameron, Peyton, Oliver, Cooper, Barrett, Bryce, D'artagnan, Dash, Logan, Nicholas, Abigail, Harrison, Mya, Landon, Summer and Jordan. Lee was predeceased by two brothers,Wilfred and Ronald Oikle, his sister Louella Kader, and his granddaughter Madisyn Burdick.
Born in Holden May 1, 1944, Lee enlisted in the United States Army after graduating from Worcester Boys Trade School. Two weeks after he returned from Vietnam, he and Carol were married. They recently celebrated their 60th anniversary on May 22, 2025. A Master Electrician, Lee worked many years for several area electrical companies including Sprague Electric, Raymond Paquette Electrical and Palumbo Electric. He later established his own business and worked independently before deciding to become an electrical estimator prior to retiring.
Lee loved to be busy whether working on cars or tinkering in the garage, creating beautiful stained-glass windows and lamps, or tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. He built a backyard greenhouse so he could tend to his plants over the winter months. He even earned his pilot's license and enjoyed flying planes. Annual trips to Myrtle Beach with Carol were treasured times together. He was a "great" grandfather and a marvelous husband and will be missed immensely by all who loved him.
In accordance with Lee's wishes, there are no scheduled services at this time. Memorial donations, in
lieu of flowers, may be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
