Barbara F. (Wood) Bosma

Northbridge—Barbara F. (Wood) Bosma, died peacefully, Monday, March 21, in the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.  She was 85.  Mrs. Bosma is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert, and their four children; Scott R. Bosma, of Worcester, Nancy Wokoun, of E. Brookfield, Deborah Bernier and Sally Ward, both of Whitinsville; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her sisters; Marilyn Blair, Eleanor Smith and Marjorie Wood.
     Born in Whitinsville, November 11, 1930, a daughter of Leon and Florence (Boyd) Wood, she graduated with the Northbridge High School class of 1948.  She attended the David Hall Fanning School in Worcester and worked as a hairdresser prior to moving with her husband to New Jersey in 1961.  After living in New Jersey for five years they returned to Northbridge..
     Mrs. Bosma was a long time member of the Village Congregational Church in Whitinsville.  She dabbled in many hand crafts including sewing, knitting, macramé, and pottery.  Her family always came first.  Her greatest pleasure was time spent with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; they were her pride and joy.
     Services are private and there are no Calling Hours.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
