Obituary

Brenda M.  Sprott, 78, died Sunday, May 30, 2021 while surrounded by her family.  Brenda leaves a son, Mark A. Sprott,  twin daughters; Kristine A. Mead and her husband Mike and Karen S. Draleaus and her husband Dan, all of Northbridge; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.  In addition, Brenda leaves  Geraldine in France, and Kerri in Australia, both were exchange students who were like daughters  to Brenda.   She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth J. "Buzzy" Sprott, sons Erik and Matthew, and her sister, Victoria Regensburg.

A daughter of George L. and Anna (Borieko) Blair, Brenda was born in Northbridge November 25, 1942.  When her children were young, Brenda stayed home to care for them and went to work once they were older.  Her varied careers included: working at Linwood Lumber as a bookkeeper; she was the office manager for Flynn and Sloan, in Worcester; she was a dog groomer for TLC, in Sutton; she worked in the sleep lab at Jordan's Furniture, in Natick, and finally, a sales consultant at Bernie and Phyl's Furniture, in Westborough.

Brenda was a life-long Northbridge resident. She enjoyed family camping trips and traveled the world with Buzzy, her children and grandchildren. She was so full of life and humor. You could hear her laugh even in a loud crowded room. She minced no words when she had something to say. Brenda was proud of her Polish heritage.  Easter with family and friends was always bountiful with Polish food.  She loved her music, especially Blue Grass, which was always playing at her house.  She had a deep love for her family who surrounded her with laughter and love in her final days.   She was always quick to sit down, no matter what time of day or night, and visit with you. For those close to her, they knew she had a wisdom that was uncanny. Her home was an open door and anyone coming in always felt welcome. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, love of animals and spirit of adventure . And of course her laugh!!!
