Cheryl A. (Dafiotis) Johnson

Cheryl A. "Sherry" (Dafiotis) Johnson, age 66, died Thursday, August 4, 2023, in the UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Lake Ave., in Worcester.  She leaves her husband of 19 years, Philip Johnson, of North Grafton; her mother Eleanor (Bastis) Dafiotis, of Uxbridge; her sister Sharon Crossman and her husband David, of Wells, ME; and many nieces and nephews, including her God daughter Nicole Virginia, with whom she was very close.  Sherry is predeceased by her daughter Catherine Harrington Chavis, her father John Dafiotis, Sr., and her brother John Dafiotis, Jr.,

Sherry was born in Boston, January 24, 1957.  She grew up in Southborough and graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in 1975.  After high school, she began a 35-year career at the Bose Corporation in Framingham and retired as a supervisor in 2022.  Her pastimes included exercising, gardening, and spending time with her dog Calla.  When she was younger, she and her siblings enjoyed water skiing and boating on Lake Chauncy, in Westborough.  Prior to moving to North Grafton in 1998, she lived several years in Northbridge.

Calling Hours are Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 4-6PM.  Sherry's Funeral will be Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Carr Funeral Home, at 11:00AM.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Linwood Ave., Whitinsville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Dr., Chicago, IL, 60601.
