Christine P (Opperwall) Pierpont

Christine P. (Opperwall) Pierpont, died Tuesday, April 11 in UMass Memorial Medical Center after a long period of declining health. She is survived by her daughter Alana Pierpont, her mother Joanne (Cunningham) Opperwall of Douglas, her sister Lynn Opperwall of Whitinsville and her longtime companion Jaime Mowry of Douglas. She is predeceased by her father Peter T. Opperwall.

Born in Worcester on October 23, 1971, she was raised in Douglas and graduated from Douglas High School in 1989. Christine was a retail sales clerk at several area businesses.

She loved Cape Cod and the ocean, riding motorcycles, photography, knitting and sewing, and she was the self-professed "crazy cat lady of Potter Road".

Memorial Calling Hours for Christine will be from 4-7pm  Friday, April 21, in the Carr Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD, 20852.
