Cynthia M. (Sprott) Bedard

Cynthia "Nina" (Sprott) Bedard passed away peacefully with family by her side due to a very sudden and quick battle with brain cancer.  Born October 9, 1945, in Whitinsville, to Kenneth and Anne (Karoty) Sprott, she graduated from Northbridge High School in 1963.  Moving forward she worked as a computer stockroom manager at Scott Systems, Banyan Systems and Astrodyne Corp. She also was a bus driver for Northbridge and Uxbridge schools, as well as for the Northbridge Senior Center. She was the proud owner and operator of Ladies Workout Express in Northbridge for 11 years.

Nina loved to tend to her garden and would always offer her fresh produce to her loved ones.  She loved to go camping, especially on Cape Cod near the beaches. Some of her greatest times were spent with her grandchildren hosting many family cookouts at her pool, which she was always proud to do.  Lobsters and steamers were her favorite to share at family gatherings.  

Nina is survived by her daughter Michelle Lee and her significant other, Eric Desrosiers, Sr., of Uxbridge, and her beloved Yorkie, Rosie; her brother Francis Sprott, of Whitinsville; and two sisters, Judith Brooks, of Whitinsville, and Sonia Verrochi, of Douglas; five grandchildren; Christian Bedard, Jessica Lee, Taylor Lee, Nicholas Grondin, and Kimberly Rock; as well as her former husband, Edward "Buddy" Bedard, of Uxbridge; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son, Wayne Bedard, in July of 2019, and her brother Kenneth Sprott. Nina was a member of Saint Patrick's Church in Whitinsville.

Nina's Memorial Mass will be at 10AM, Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Saint Patrick's Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville.  Inurnment will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery.  There are no Calling Hours.
