Daniel C. Paniss, II Obituary
In deep sadness our family mourns the loss of Daniel Clifton Paniss II, who passed away unexpectedly to a rare cardiac event on September 12, 2025. He was 26 years old.
He leaves a large and loving family and is survived by his father Daniel Paniss, his father’s wife Michelle Rivera, of Jamaica Plain, his mother Danell M. (Kobel) Dimitri and her husband Mark, of Marshfield; five sisters: Elissa Turcotte and her partner Miguel Moran, of Blackstone; Francesca Mendes and her partner Kevin Munroe, of Hopkinton; Nastassia Hunt and her husband Gary, of North Grafton; Monica Sampson Sankofa and her husband Keno, of Milford; Julianna Sarno and her husband Justin, of Plymouth; and 16 nieces and nephews who he adored: Matthew, Jaidyn, Maxwell, Dorothy, Abi, Maximus, Hudson, Suzette, Gary, Aurora, Cooper, Clifton, Azadi, Kioni, Tajah and Sierra.
In addition, Daniel leaves his grandparents: Dianne and Joseph Broderick, of Blackstone; Ethel Paniss, of Bellingham; and William Tyrone Boone, of Lutz, Florida and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfathers Fernando Paniss II and Gary Clifton Kobel Sr., and by his grandmother Nilda Boone. Daniel was fervently devoted to all his cousins, and the family is indebted to Ava for her support and help which was greatly appreciated.
Born September 14, 1998, in Norwood Massachusetts, Daniel lived in Blackstone, his lifelong home. Employed with Jolicoeur Overhead Doors, in Bellingham he took pride in using his many practical skills to help others. Following in his father and uncles’ footsteps of civil service, Daniel was actively working towards his aspiration of becoming a police officer.
He was the youngest and only son, doted on by his five sisters. Daniel found peace in the outdoors whether hiking the northern woods or biking, longboarding or rollerblading.
Daniel was a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and loyal friend to all who knew him. He was handsome, strong and confident, his word was his bond. Daniel was an uncommonly selfless man whose greatest joy in life was helping his family, friends and anyone else in need.
Our family is greatly saddened by Daniel’s death but comforted in knowing he was a born again Christian and follower of Jesus Christ. Daniel is now with our Lord and has eternal life in the Kingdom. Though his life was short and he passed away too soon, we are grateful that he was part of our lives. Daniel was important to us, we loved him, and he will always be in our hearts and fondest memories. A true treasure.
