Elizabeth Hendrickson Obituary

Elizabeth (Beth Skillen) Hendrickson, died Tuesday, June 28, in the Milford Regional Medical Center, after a period of declining health.  She was born December 7, 1927, in Whitinsville and was the daughter of William B. and Elizabeth (Tate) Skillen.  She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, John A. Hendrickson, her brother Philip F. Skillen and his wife Loraine, and her daughter-in-law Kathleen Hendrickson.    She is survived by sons John (Jack), of Uxbridge, Richard and his wife Pat of Tomball, TX; daughter Susan and her husband Don Mateer, of Northbridge; four grandchildren: Tara and her husband Eric Salvador; Kelly and her husband Brian Trask; Kyle Mateer and Eric Mateer and his fiancé Grace Forbess; and four great grandchildren: Riley and T.J. Trask; Aubrey and Jack Salvador; and her nephew Bill Skillen and his wife Linda.

Beth attended Worcester School of Business Science after graduating from Northbridge High School.  She worked as a receptionist at Nelmor Co., in Uxbridge for 25 years before retiring.  Her true passion was traveling with her husband to favorite places such as St. Thomas, New Orleans and across the United States.  She was an avid reader and loved to sew.  She was a 70-year member of the Whitinsville Presbyterian Church.

A Memorial Service at Carr Funeral Home will be held at 10AM, Thursday, July 14, 2022 (Please note change of service date).  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Peace of Bread.
