Frances E. (Marcoux) Farrell, 95, died peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, December 8th. Her husband, Captain Charles L. Farrell, died in 1984. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Patterson, her husband, George, and her grandson, Tyler, with whom she lived; a son, Stephen Farrell, of Richmond, VA; daughters Susan Cooke, of Jacksonville, NC, and Patricia Gayle, of New York; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Brian E. Farrell, a daughter, Deborah Farrell, and her siblings, Edward Marcoux and Mamie Colacchio.
Mrs. Farrell was born in Providence, RI, November 24, 1925, a daughter of Joseph and Lurline (Smith) Marcoux. She lived in Beals, Me, until she moved to Medfield, MA and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Edward and Margaret Tenney. She attended school in Medfield and graduated from Sturdy Memorial Nursing School, and went on to work in the ICU at Norwood Hospital until she moved to Richmond, VA, and worked in the ICU at Stuart Circle Hospital. She then became an industrial nurse for ATandT, retiring after ten years. She was also a proud member of the Red Cross for many years.
Mrs. Farrell will be interred privately, with her husband, in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Richmond, VA. There are no local services planned.
