Gail F. Arnold, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026.  Formerly of New York, she moved her family to Massachusetts in the late 1970s and had lived in Northbridge for the last 26 years.

Gail leaves two sons: Joseph Arnold and his wife, Carol, of Northbridge and Thomas and his wife, Peggy, of Uxbridge; six grandchildren: Dillon, Rachel, Sarah, Grace, Helena, and Allison; a brother, Earle Devendorf, of Florida; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She enjoyed many occupations.  Her interests included drawing, architecture, genealogy, and horticulture.  She was a member of the Uxbridge Historical Society.  Many enjoyed her conversational skills which were peppered with colorful, humorous anecdotes.

Gail’s memorial Funeral Mass will be at 11AM, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Saint Peter’s Church, 39 Church Avenue, Northbridge.  A calling hour will precede her Mass from 10-11AM at the church.  A private ash scattering ceremony will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sullivan Food Cupboard, Inc in Chittenango, NY.

Gail extends her sincere thanks to the hospice staff of Metro West and to her personal aide, Christina, for their exceptional care and compassion.  “Winning lottery numbers to follow…”
