Gary Paul Trottier, 90, of Whitinsville, MA, a long-time employee (model maker) at Johnson & Johnson Corp in Raynham, MA, retiring in 1999, passed away on August 19, 2024. 

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Judith A. (Liard) Trottier, 3 sons, Mark T. Trottier (Elly) of Uxbridge, MA, Lance J. Trottier (Brenda) of Cape Coral, FL and Christopher J. Trottier (Susan) of Uxbridge, MA, 3 daughters, Yvonne A. Welch (Rick) of Moore Haven, FL, Michele C. Schillinger (Michael) of Auburn, MA and Sarah E. Greenough (Bryan) of Leominster, MA.  Gary also leaves a brother, P. Brent Trottier (Judy) of Southborough, MA and a sister, Lynn F Trottier of Smithfield, RI, sister-in-law, Jean Trottier of Whitinsville and sister-by-choice, Vivian Dumais of Smithfield, RI.  As part of Gary’s legacy, he also leaves 9 grandchildren and 13 step-grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 22 step-great grandchildren and 2 step great-great grandchildren along with 37 nieces and nephews.

Gary was born in Grafton, MA; son of the late Aime J and Anita E. (Rothwell) Trottier.  He was predeceased by his father (1969) and his mother (1990), his brother Robert F. Trottier (2019), his son Matthew S. Trottier (2018), infant grandson, Jason A. Trottier (1975), daughter-in-law, Emily A. Trottier (1996) and son-in-law, Daniel L. Welch (2020). 

Gary lived in his current house in Whitinsville for over 80 years and graduated from Northbridge High School in 1951 and Whitin Machine Works Apprentice School in 1960.  He served 4 years in the U.S. Army and was deployed overseas during the Korean Conflict. 

Gary worked at Whitin Machine Works for several years, followed by Stanovich Tool & Die, Deane & Brown Construction, Nelmor Co. and, moved on to Johnson & Johnson Corp in 1983.

Gary was an active and devoted member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Whitinsville.  He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and all mediums of artwork.  He took great pride in his family, his home and yard, and his unwavering faith in God.

Calling Hours are Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Carr Funeral Home, from 5-7PM.  Gary’s Funeral Mass at Saint Patrick's Church will be at 11AM on Friday, August 23, 2024.  Burial will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery.
