George C. Pratt Obituary

George C. Pratt, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 21, 2024.  He leaves his beloved wife, Donna (Mummenthey) Pratt; his mother Hazel (Gould) Pratt, of Maynard; brother Bill Pratt and his wife Ann, of Maynard; two sisters: Kathleen Harrington and her husband David, of South Deerfield; and Karen Costa and her husband Ron, of Churchville, MD; 3 grandchildren: Madden and Audrey Siemaszko and Adley Mummenthey; two step children Jennifer and Adam, and several of his beloved nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his father, William B. Pratt, Sr.,

Born September 10, 1959, in Somerville, George grew up in Maynard and was a graduate of Maynard High School.  After high school, he began working as an industrial mechanic, following in his father's footsteps.  In 2003, he and Donna moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he worked at Sea Trails Golf Course.  They returned to Northbridge in 2007, to be closer to family.  He had been working at Bradford Soapworks in Warwick, Rhode Island for several years.

George loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a collector of vintage antique Harley toys and beer steins. He was known to always have a project and tinker around with his tools. George was a voracious reader, often reading a book a day.  He was a very kindhearted man and loved by all his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

The family would like to thank the Northbridge Police Department and the Northbridge Fire Department and Paramedics.

Memorial Calling Hours will be from 9-11AM, Saturday, October 12, 2024, followed by a graveside service at 11:30AM at Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Providence Road, Whitinsville.
