Herbert J. Degon, 64, of Auburn, died Friday June 19, 2026, at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. 

Born on July 31, 1961, in Worcester, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Mary (Wood) Degan. Mr. Degon was raised in Worcester and graduated from Holy Name High School Class of 1979. He lived in Indiana for a short period of his life before moving back to Auburn. Herbie is survived by his nephew Timothy "Jamie" Walker Jr., of North Grafton; 4 great nephews: Max, Evan, Nolan and Will Walker; his close friend and housemate, Joseph Lloyd; and several cousins. He is predeceased by his brothers Thomas J. and Timothy W. Walker. 

Herbie enjoyed playing golf, collecting sports memorabilia, loved dogs and trips to Cape Cod. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. He will be laid to rest at South Sutton Cemetery with his parents and brothers at a time and date to be announced.
