Whitinsville/Worcester—James Lennon, 87, died Monday, February 06, in the St. Camillus Health Center, after a period of declining health.  Jim leaves his wife of 62 years, Alice (Carragher) Lennon, in addition to a son John, and his wife Laurel, of Centennial, CO, a daughter Elaine Brickman, and her husband Jeff, of Freeport, ME, a daughter Jacqueline Trottier and her husband, Gene, of Whitinsville, daughter-in-law Steffanie Hofer Lennon, of Springboro, CO, and  a sister, Rena McKinstry, of Enfield, CT; 7 grand children; Josh, Matt and Eric Brickman, Owen and Liam Lennon, Gerhard and Uschi Hofer, and 3 great grandchildren; James, Henry and Otis Brickman.  Jim was predeceased by his son James in 2016, and his brothers John and Aloysius. 

Jim was born in Glasgow, Scotland, January 5, 1930, a son of Patrick and Elizabeth (Cunningham) Lennon.  He and Alice moved to the United States in 1954, settling in Connecticut where he worked for Taylor and Fenn, in Windsor for over 30 years, until retiring.  In 2010, they moved to Worcester, and only recently had Jim moved to St. Camillus, in Whitinsville. 

Jim was a long time parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Windsor Locks and was the past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #26.  He enjoyed golf, but was a passionate soccer and Glasgow Celtic fan his entire life.

Calling Hours, at the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill St., Whitinsville, are Saturday, February 11, from 9:30-11:30.  A Funeral Mass to celebrate Jim’s life, and that of his son James, will be at 12 Noon, Saturday, February 11, at St. Patrick’s Church, Cross St., Whitinsville, burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to either the Alzheimer Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 2009-6011, or to the One Company Fund, 340 May St., Worcester, MA 01602.
