MacInnis, and his wife, Kasia, of Marblehead, MA, and Brittany K. McCaffrey, and her husband, Sean, of Whitinsville, MA; and her granddaughter, Ellis Kate McCaffrey. Jan was born in Newton, MA on February 12, 1948, the daughter of Richard and Seila (Ward) Wambolt, where she grew up and graduated from Newton High School. She was a 1966 graduate of Westbrook College, and she was a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines until 1982, when she became a stay-at-home Mom and raised her family in Holliston, MA. She moved to Northbridge in 2002, and to Uxbridge in 2019.
Jan discovered her true life’s calling, and followed her love of children to become a Kindergarten teacher at the New Covenant Christian School in Marlborough. Previously, she worked in food service in the Holliston Public Schools.
A woman of Christ-like integrity and a strong faith, Jan was an advocate and defender of the young and less fortunate. Jan enjoyed traveling throughout Europe in the 1970s with her husband Ron, and most recently loved her summers spent at her home in Port Medway, Nova Scotia.
Due to the current pandemic, a celebration of Jan's life will be held at a later time. Donations in Jan’s memory are requested to: Lewy Body Dementia Association at www.lbda.org
