Jean S. (Warren) Chalmers, 86, died at home, Wednesday, December 8. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John J. Chalmers; a son, Gary Chalmers, and his fiance, Kosta Triantafillakos, of Worcester; a daughter, Lynn Burke, and her husband, Brian, of Uxbridge; a step-son, John Chalmers, and his wife, Lynne, of Cranston, RI; seven grandchildren, Justine, Ian, Sydney, Sean, Conor, Corey, and Paige; and four great grandchildren, Bryce, Braxton, Jayden and Theodore. She was predeceased by her grandson, Derek, and her siblings, James and Robert Warren, Gladys St. Germaine, and Anna Daily.
Mrs. Chalmers was born in Providence, RI, June 8, 1935, a daughter of Perley and Minnie Etta (Daily) Warren. She grew up and went to school in Pawtucket. She lived in Shrewsbury for 25 years, and Whitinsville for 20 years, prior to moving to Uxbridge in 2020.
She worked at ELKAY Products Company in Shrewsbury for 26 years, retiring as a supervisor in 2000. Previously, she worked many years at ITT Royal Electric in Pawtucket.
Mrs. Chalmer's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am, Monday. December 13, in Saint Patrick's Church, Cross Street, Whitinsville, followed by burial in Riverdale Cemetery. Calling Hours will be 2-4pm, Sunday, December 12, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville. **Masks will be required at the funeral home.
