Jean (McFarlane) Shaw, 86, died Saturday, May 16, in Westborough Healthcare. She is survived by three sons, Brian Shaw, of Douglas; Gary Shaw, of Pasadena, CA, and Douglas Shaw, of Whitinsville; a daughter, Laurie Shaw, of Milford, three grandchildren, Megan Shaw, of Mendon; Zach Herlihy of Plymouth, NH; and Alexandra Herlihy. of Peabody; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Wright, and a brother, Bob McFarlane.
Jean was born in Whitinsville, March 12, 1934, the daughter of Alec and Jeanne (Robertson) McFarlane and lived in Whitinsville most of her life. She went to Northbridge High School there.
She was an assembler at Timex/Telechron, and she retired from Fenwall in Ashland.
In her younger years, Jean was an avid and well-known bowler.
A private Graveside Funeral Service will be held for Jean's immediate family. There are no Calling Hours.
