Jo-Anne (Allen) Snyder, 79, died peacefully Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Lydia Taft House, in Uxbridge,  She leaves her partner of 27 years, William E. Murray, of Northbridge; two daughters, Kelly Snyder and her partner Carle Bross, of Whitinsville, and Angela Yeager and her husband Steve, of Ohio; a son Barry Tourville, of Ohio; three step-sons: Sean Murray and his wife Jennifer, of Florida; Jim Murray and his wife Ranada, of Greenfield; and Ben Murray, of Holland; a step-daughter Erin Murray and her partner Justin Hutchison, of North Brookfield; a brother Gary Allen, of Florida; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Jo-Anne was predeceased by her brother Brian Allen.


The daughter of Ernest and Lucille (Lake) Allen, Jo-Anne was born in Farmington, Maine on September 8, 1944. She grew up in Andover, Massachusetts where she graduated from Andover High School.  During her 20's she moved to Ohio, where she remained for 15 years before moving to Monson, Massachusetts, where she met Bill.  


Jo-Anne loved taking care of her home and her yard; she actually enjoyed weeding her flower beds. She loved rocks and building stone walls in her yard.  Jo-Anne was a sun worshipper, an avid reader of mystery novels, loved sports, and was a dedicated Boston fan.  She particularly enjoyed shopping for home decor with her daughter Kelly.
