Linda Freedman Ellis, 86, died on Saturday, June 22, 2024 after a period of declining health. She is survived by 3 sons and their spouses: Bruce Greenson-Freedman and his husband Gabriel Barrera-Camargo of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Charles T. Freedman JR and his wife Deborah Freedman of Whitinsville, MA and David Z. Freedman and his wife Christene Freedman of Newtown, CT., 6 grandchildren; Jacob, Seldon, Carter, Parker, Zachary, and Madison and 4 great grandchildren. Linda was predeceased by her first husband Roy A. Greenson (2009), second husband Charles T. Freedman (1981) and third husband Arthur L. Ellis (2008), son Alexander D. Greenson (2020), 2 sisters; Diane D. Shumway (2018) and Susan D. Schrade (2018) and her grandson Joshua A. McArdle (2013).

Born in Boston, MA, on October 18, 1937, she was the daughter of Robertson Charles Damrell and Elizabeth (Crowley) Damrell. Linda graduated from Saint Mary's in the Mountains school in 1956 and went on to study at Lasalle College to become a License Practical Nurse.  She worked at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth for 34 years and after her retirement worked for the VNA as a public health nurse visiting many residents of Plymouth in their homes. 

Growing up in Plymouth, MA, she was very athletic and competitive, without being arrogant about it she was a great team player, a quality that made her recognizable in the local community. She enjoyed traveling and always loved meeting new people, enjoying her smoking and Vodka Martini on the rocks with a twist she created a large circle of friends.

Linda loved outdoor activities and was an avid golfer and tennis player, she was known for her "wicked" left hand serve. She was a member of the Plymouth Country Club for over 20 years and one of the oldest members of Eel River Beach Club in Plymouth. She was a lifelong member of Christ Church in Plymouth until her move in 2022 to Hopedale, MA.

Her funeral service and celebration of life will be held at the convenience of her family, date yet to be announced.
