Lorraine E. (Belanger) Kmiotek Devlin, 90 died peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, August 4. She is survived by her son, Stanley Kmiotek, and his wife, Kathleen, of Tolland, CT; two daughters, Deborah Kmiotek, and Joanne Stanley, and her husband, Rick, of Northbridge; six grandchildren, Trena, Tonya, Travis, Jesse, Douglas and Becki; eight great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter, and two step-daughters. . Her husband, Edward Kmiotek, died in 1983, and her husband, Dermott Devlin, died in 1999.
Mrs. Devlin was born in Hudson, NH, March 22, 1931, daughter of George and Eva (Gauvin) Belanger, where she grew up, and attended Nashua schools. She had lived in Northbridge since 1954.
Lorraine was a dietary aide at the Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge for many years prior to retiring in 1981. Previously, she worked at the former Kartiganer Hat Shop in Upton until it closed.
A longtime member of Saint Peter's Church in Northbridge, Lorraine was active at the Northbridge Senior Center, enjoyed playing Bingo, visiting casinos, and pampering her beloved dog, "Izzie". Her greatest love, however, was spending time with her children and grandchildren, visiting them very often.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Peter's Church, Church Avenue, Northbridge, at 11am, Monday August 9, preceded by Calling Hours from 9-10:30am in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery.
