Marie Lucy LaSala, 84, passed away on February 27, 2025, in Beaumont at Whitney Place in Northborough.

Marie was born on February 28, 1940, in Winthrop, MA, daughter of the late Enrico “Henry” and Mary (Cibello) LaSala and was raised on Paris Street in East Boston. She graduated from East Boston High School and furthered her education by attending secretarial school. For over forty years she worked as a secretary for Forte, Dupee and Sawyer Company of Boston. For most of her life, she remained deeply connected to the East Boston community until 6 years ago when she moved to Whitney Place in Northborough. 

A woman of faith, Marie was a devoted parishioner of Most Holy Redeemer Church in East Boston. She found great joy in giving back to her community and spent much of her time caring for her mother and volunteering at the health center in East Boston. Her kindness and dedication left a lasting impact on those in her life. 

Marie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Patsy and Constance LaSala of Whitinsville; her nephew Anthony LaSala and his wife Heather of Fort Mill, South Carolina; her nieces Lisa Marie Gaylord and her husband Chad of Auburn, MA, and Jennifer Anne Chase of Millbury; 1 great-niece Sydney LaSala, and 4 great-nephews, Nicholas LaSala, Ryan and Nathan Gaylord and Luke Chase. She also leaves behind many cousins who will cherish her memory. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 13, at 10AM in The Chapel at St. Michael's Cemetery, 500 Canterbury St., Boston, MA, followed by a graveside service. Carr Funeral Home 24 Hill St. Whitinsville, MA.
