Marion A. (Hebner) Bosma, died peacefully Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab where she had been a resident since last May.  She   leaves her devoted daughter, Marianna Buteyn and her husband John, of Uxbridge, two grandchildren: Jennifer and Randall Benoit, of Webster, and Daniel Buteyn, of Uxbridge; eight great grandchildren: Jacob, Kelly, Benjamin, Andrew, Daniel, Samuel, Adriana, and Ryan; and two great great grandchildren, Kehlani and Maverick.  In addition, she is survived by a son-in-law Ronald Paille, of Northbridge; a daughter-in-law Crystal Bosma Myers, of Columbia, Connecticut; and a sister Janice Craik, of Berkeley, California.   Marion was predeceased by her husband John F. Bosma, in 2005, a son Mark J. Bosma in 1989, her daughter Judith Paille in 2020, and her brother Robert Hebner.

A daughter of Joseph and Mary (Hirsch) Hebner, Marion was born May 20, 1931, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island where she was raised and graduated from the former Pawtucket East Senior High School in 1949 (now the William E. Tolman Senior High).  Marion and John met at a dance in Pawtucket and were married in 1952 and they moved to Whitinsville where they remained and raised their family.    She worked at the former Whitin Machine Works until they had children.

For more than 70 years, Marion was a dedicated member of the Village Congregational Church, in Whitinsville, where she volunteered her time and talents in several capacities including, teaching Sunday School, singing in the Chancel Choir, ringing bells with the Village Bell Ringers, serving on the Prudential Committee, and serving as a Deacon. She enjoyed decorating and arranging flowers, whether in her own home or at church where she decorated the chancel for the Christmas and Easter seasons. She was a Girl Scout, and a Brownie and Girl Scout leader.  In 1963 Marion joined the former Whitinsville Women's Club and served as President of the GFWC #13th District, was a member of the Presidents' Club, and the "Red Hat Society".

After John retired, they enjoyed several trips in their camper van to Florida during the winters as well as travelling across the country.  At Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab Marion participated in as many social activities as she could; whether it was BINGO or a movie night, she was dressed and ready to participate.  She was a wonderful storyteller, sharing her life experiences and advice with people of all ages.
