Mary Patricia (Sheehan) Faulkner

Mary Patricia (Sheehan) Faulkner, 84, formerly of Northborough, died Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Care One of Millbury, after a short stay at Milford Hospital.

Mary is survived by her four children: Kathleen Breault and her husband John, of Worcester; Maureen Vereque and her husband Didier, of Whitinsville; Laureen Faulkner-Pierce and her husband William, of CT; and Michael Faulkner, of Oxford; 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Theodore A. Faulkner, in 1978, and her two brothers, Joseph and James Sheehan.

Born on July 4, 1940, in Marlborough, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Kathleen (McCook) Sheehan. Mary was a longtime resident of Northborough and a graduate of Northborough High School. After living in Holden for a short time, she resided with her daughter Maureen for the last five years in Whitinsville. She worked several years for the Department of Revenue, in Westborough, as a data clerk, and at Hanover Insurance as a switchboard operator until her retirement.

Taking day-long walks, spending time at the ocean, drawing cartoons, collecting cow themed figurines, watching her favorite show “Columbo”, and spending time with her grandchildren at the movies and roller skating, were some of Mary’s favorite times. Current Boston sport teams and national news were constant topics of conversation for Mary.  Although her Parkinson Disease had affected her mobility in the last 15 years, she remained sharp until her time of passing.

A calling hour will be held on Monday April 7, 2025, from 10:30 – 11:30, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St., Northborough, MA, with a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:30. Burial will follow at Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
