Mary E. (McGarrigle) King

Mary E. (McGarrigle) King, 88, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 17. She is predeceased by her husband of 53 years Earl C. King and their son Wayne R. King. Mary is survived by her son David E. King of Uxbridge, two daughters Kathy M. King Allaire of Danielson, Ct and Mel Cole of Uxbridge, her seven grandchildren Katy and her husband Casey Fann, Liz and her husband Brandon Cooke, Steve Allaire, Nick Allaire and his wife Chelsea, Emily Cole and Teddy Cole, four great grandchildren Quinn and Noah Fann, Camille and Baby Boy Cooke, many nieces, nephews, family and friends who are like family. She was predeceased by her all of her brothers and their wives Bill and Doris McGarrigle, Jackie McGarrigle, Eddie and Trudy McGarrigle, Joe and Judy McGarrigle, Gene McGarrigle and her sister-in-law and her husband Ruthie (King) and Frank Lubas.

Born in Millville, MA   on May 12, 1935, Mary was the only daughter of the late William and Mary (Kelley) McGarrigle. She was raised in North Smithfield, R.I and moved to Uxbridge shortly after her marriage to Earl and stayed to raise their family there. Over the years Mary stayed home with her children and started a childcare service for others out of her home. She was a kindhearted soul who loved children. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading novels, watching Days of Our Lives and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Her funeral services will be private. A celebration of life will be held on Friday October 6, from 5 - 8p.m. at the VFW Douglas St Uxbridge, MA . In lieu of flowers donations in Mary's memory may be made to The Uxbridge Senior Center 36 South Main Street, Uxbridge, MA 01569
