Maryann P. (Twomey) Zawieruszynski, 75, died Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at her home. She is survived by her husband of 28 years Michael J. Zawieruszynski; her children Keith and Rachel; her granddaughter Kayla; three stepchildren: Sonya, Nissa, and Michael W.; and four step grandchildren. 

Born in Boston, on November 30, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Anna G. (Anntonitos) Twomey. Maryann was raised in South Boston and graduated from Cardinal Cushing Central High School. She has lived in Whitinsville since 1986. Over the years she worked as a switchboard operator at the former AT&T Bell, the Director of the Red Cross in Framingham, MA, and she retired as a court assistant for the family court in Worcester. Maryann kept up with pop culture and current events and enjoyed her dogs and birds.
