Megan (Demers) Demers Obituary
Megan Demers, 50, of Whitinsville, died Tuesday March 10, 2026, at UMASS Medical Center after a sudden illness.
Megan was born in Worcester on November 24, 1975. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret (Rossetti) Demers and was a lifelong resident of Whitinsville. She studied Culinary Arts at Blackstone Valley Tech, graduating with the class of 1994. Blackstone Valley Tech was where she developed her true passion for cooking. Over the years her presence graced the kitchens of many local restaurants as a chef and as a bartender as well, before moving into the assisted living field and becoming the regional chef with the Hawthorne Retirement Group. Megan was an amazing cook and an inspiring teacher to all with whom she worked during her career. Outside of work Megan truly loved spending time with her family, most especially her nephews and nieces. She held a special fondness for all animals.
Megan will be greatly missed by her family, friends and many coworkers, that she touched through out her life. She is survived by her sisters Heidi Fernandez and her husband Albert of Germany, her twin sister, Mia Crawford of Whitinsville, her brother-in-law Michael Crawford, her beloved two nieces and eight nephews, and many great nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brothers Jamie and Thomas Demers.
