Michael J. Kuras

Michael J. Kuras. 52, died at home, Wednesday, March 10. He is survived by his sons, Joshua and Nathan Kuras, of Whitinsville, his parents, John and Maryann (Ramsay) Kuras, of Howell, NJ; a brother, Kenneth J. Kuras, of Huntington Beach, CA; two sisters, Kathleen Klatt, of Middletown, NJ, and Anne Eichner, of Brielle, NJ, three nephews, his former wife, Jennifer (Hall) Kuras, of Whitinsville, long time partner/friend, Melanie Mervyn and children, Shelby and Matthew, of Northbridge.

Michael was born, November 7, 1968, in New Brunswick, NJ. He grew up in Howell, NJ, and had lived in Whitinsville 15 years. He was a graduate of Howell High School, the United States Coast Guard Academy, and  Northeastern University. He was a computer engineer in the Coast Guard for nine years, and then worked for several companies as a contract employee.

An outstanding athlete, Michael played football, wrestled, and ran track at the Coast Guard Academy, and he enjoyed hiking and biking.

Funeral Services for Michael will be held in Howell, NJ, at a time and date to be announced.
