Michael Sean Fenwick Obituary
Michael Sean Fenwick, 69, of Upton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Milford Regional Medical Center. He leaves his wife Karen (Bourdeon) Fenwick, their daughter, Julia Kale, her husband Chai Kale and grandchildren, Arjun and Alena. In addition, he leaves his mother, Helen Stoney and stepfather H. Stanley Stoney and five brothers, Kevin Fenwick, Steven Stoney, Jeffrey Stoney, Thomas Roehm, Timothy Roehm and Chris Fenwick. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that were a very meaningful and fulfilling part of his life. He is predeceased in death by his Father, Thomas C. Fenwick, stepmother Glenna Fenwick, and brothers, Jon Fenwick and Theodore Roehm.
Born February 8, 1957, Michael was raised in California primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area (Peninsula). It was while living in California, that he met and fell in love with Karen Bourdeon, whom he married in 1982. He had a great passion for his career in California as a project and service manager in the automatic door industry. Up to the end of his life, he could not resist checking out any new construction site he saw to see what type of doors they were installing. Before retiring in Vermont, he had spent 20 years working as an independent contractor in home renovations. When he wasn’t working to make someone else’s home beautiful, Michael enjoyed working on his own home and maintaining the landscaping.
Michael was a very dedicated husband, father and grandfather, loving to spend time with his family and friends. He was an active member of the Northbridge Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, dedicating his life to our creator on May 5, 1991. His love and desire to understand people was phenomenal and he experienced much joy dedicating his time and energy to helping others. He was an avid reader who loved learning new things and figuring things out. He loved the Pacific Ocean and the mountains of Vermont. Anyone who knew Michael knew that he enjoyed quiet time with a cup of coffee at any time of the day. He looked forward to beginning his days with his grandchildren and seeing them off to school. Spending time with them was his “special” time.
There will be a service for Michael at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 120 Plain Street, Hopedale, Massachusetts on March 14, 2026, at 4:00PM. In lieu of donations, Michael would say — “spend as much time as possible with your family and enjoy their finest qualities”.
