Michelle L. (Boulanger) Baldwin Obituary
Michelle L. (Boulanger) Baldwin died Sunday, May 12, 2024, after decades of courageously battling illness. She leaves her husband of nearly 41 years, William Baldwin and their children, Cory Baldwin and his wife Alexandra, of Thompson, CT; and Jessica Kuindersma and her husband Scott, of Bedford; her mother Elsie (Sylvia) Boulanger, of Uxbridge; a sister Joelle Violette and her husband Michael Sweck, of Northbridge; and 4 grandchildren: Ellouise and Bennett Baldwin, and Charles and Penelope Kuindersma. In addition, Michelle leaves a niece with whom she was very close, Delanie Baldwin and her brothers and sisters-in-law: Janice, Judy, Cathy, Johnny, Nancy, Mary, Laurie and Jimmy; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Armand Boulanger, Jr., her sister-in-law Patty, brothers-in-law Ricky and Bobby; paternal grandparents Doris and Armand Boulanger; and maternal grandparents Herbert and Helen Sylvia.
Born in New Bedford November 20, 1965, her family moved to Northbridge while she was in junior high school. Michelle graduated from Northbridge High School in 1983. She worked at the former Northbridge Nursing Home and as a dental assistant, but her dream was always to become an EMT. She realized that dream, but only worked briefly before being diagnosed with MS, and had to stop.
Michelle never let MS and her physical limitations stop her from experiencing her life to the fullest. She would not allow the diagnosis to define her; she swam in the ocean, jumped from airplanes, worked in the yard, and rode a motorcycle. She had a "zest for life". Michelle had a gift of making anyone she came into contact with feel as if they were the most important person in the room. She could relate to anyone from any walk of life. Over the years many people found a home with Michelle and her family.
Always thinking of others, Michelle volunteered countless hours helping others. She had a big heart and generous spirit. More than all else, Michelle found her greatest joy in her grandchildren who were the absolute center of her life.
